Dual Degree Programs — Connecting Social Work With Other Disciplines. The College of Social Work participates in three dual degree programs which make it possible for students to earn both the Master of Social Work (MSW) and a second degree in public health (MPH), public. MSW/MPH Dual Degree Program - Master of Social Work (MSW) Social Work and Public Health are perfect partners. This program offers students interested in a career in social work and public health an alternative. MSW MBA Dual Degree; MSW MPA Dual Degree; MSW MPH Dual Degree Social Work; Online MSW Degree; PhD in Social Work. Depending on specific social work concentration and public health track requirements, there may be additional courses and an increase in the total number of units. Most full- time students complete the dual degree in three years; however, it may be possible to accelerate the time to completion if the student elects to enroll in MPH course work during the summer sessions. Students begin with social work courses before finishing with public health course work. Students may select any one of the social work departments and any one of the public health tracks.
